Weekend Wine Tastings

This course lays the foundation for understanding how food and wine do (and sometimes do not) work together. Explore how the basic components of both food (acid, fat, protein, sweetness) and wine (tannin, acid, body, sweetness) complement one another as you taste through classic food and wine pairings. Students will also learn how flavor and aroma profiles can be used to create a partnership that is better than the sum of its parts. There will be eating. There will be tasting.
